In synthesis the operational structure of IB is made by the following organizational areas. On the basis of our real needs we include in such areas new staff elements:
Marketing Area
The Marketing role cares relation, promotion, sale and management actions towards the market. The staff sets the strategies of relationship with the external world, defining the marketing mix - Product, Price, Promotion, Place - and the objectives in terms of both sale of the software solution and of services offered, of penetration in the different markets, of positioning, etc...
The personnel included with the Marketing staff, generally has a degree in an economic discipline, or previous experience in sales and/or in a direct relationship with the potential and present clients.
Area of Customer Service and Consultancy
The different Business Units of IB dedicated to the clients' assistance (BU Maritime, BU Facility, BU Health, BU Industry), are formed by professional and competent consultants, to guide our clients along the improvement path undertaken by implementing defined techniques and configurating our software platforms already produced. The success for a project to implement a maintenance informative system, and the consequent customer's satisfaction depend on Customer service's expertise in:

1. analysing the complex needs of the client in the maintenance management of the assets,
2. interacting with the client, guiding him through the improvement path,
3. proposing the most suitable solutions for the configuration of the software platforms, and the most appropriate instruments , considering the organizational reality, with a pragmatic approach aimed at the market, rather than at the technology,
4. interacting with the IB's software development area, in order to design, develop and implement new h.a.v. applications the client who handles the maintenance activities.

The staff employed in Customer service, generally holds a degree in a technical discipline (i.e. computer, business, biomedical, shipbuilding Engineering), which allows to understand the management critical issues of our client, with regards to the technical and the maintenance processes of the various assets.
Software Development and Applied Research Area
IB designs and produces in-house the InfoSHIP®, InfoPMS®, InfoHEALTH®, InfoFACILITY® softwares and integrates the technological solutions on the market, complementary to those applications developed independently. For the production activity, we use evolved CASE instruments. Software developers form the development teams of the various business units of the company. They have capabilities for functional analysis, design and testing of the application and its subsequent maintenance. The preferential education level of the developers, who can be taken into consideration for a placement within the staff, are represented by a degree in computer sciences (IT, Computer Engineering) or alternatively by the experience in the development of business software, gained by working for a company similar to IB.
