IB's "Health" Business Unit designs, implements and distributes software solutions and technological tools for the maintenance and technical management for the health market. The technological platform InfoHEALTH® is the fundamental component of the solutions offered and the related services. It derives from the experience devised by IB in fields historically inclined in the efficient and effective management of the technical services (shipping, transports, process industry sector, etc..).

IB's solutions and services in the health sector are definitely more aimed at:

  • Public Hospitals
  • Private hospitals/Clinics
  • Maintenance and management facility services providers.
  • Manufacturers of electro medical equipments and/or dedicated to their technical assistance service (SAT)
  • Management consulting companies mainly operating in the health sector

The present particular context of the Italian and foreign Health Systems is the strategic prerequisite which has inspired IB during the last decade to strongly invest in the hospital area, with vertical, technological solutions and a dedicated, specialised staff. In a scenario of reduction of public funds, and of a need for a greater economic and managerial responsibility entrusted to each structure, the hospital sector is becoming more and more inclined to rationalise costs and resources, and to endow itself of advanced managerial tools (including the maintenance informative system InfoHEALTH®), which can contribute to make it more effective and efficient in respect of the set goals.

Today the hospital management must consider the efficient assets management and maintenance an important sector where to strive to improve the quality of the service, to guarantee the management safety and the running of the hospital asset plus the annexed technological equipments, thus comprehensively optimize the operating costs. For such purpose the most relevant element is the identification of the maintenance figures needing corrective actions.

A strategic role is taken on by the ability of managing the maintenance variables according to technical-economic principles. This through the vital support of a computerized maintenance informative system (SIM), able to guarantee an increase in the reliability of the equipments, thanks to an accurate planning of the maintenance interventions, and a constant monitoring of the use of materials, of technical resources, and of phases and activity times.
For the hospital market, IB has prepared a series of solutions and services destined to support at 360° those who deal with the asset management in several different ways and therefore also with the employment and to the implementation of the InfoHEALTH® platform.

The proposal is therefore formed by the following complementary and synergic elements:

  • the InfoHEALTH® platform, for the full management of the hospital assets. The solution is modular and scalable in several applicative modules. Continuous research and innovation have prompted IB to enrich the high added value functionality platform, and to satisfy the most demanding clients through the progressive growth of the application.
  • equipment management data centre service to allow the hospital structure or our client to remotely use the applications supplied, without the direct preparation of a technological infrastructure, which requires competences, knowhow, and a constant and taxing maintenance;
  • data entry, control and monitoring of the data service
  • count, stocktaking, and technical master construction of buildings, equipments, IT technologies, etc... which are part of our clients' assets, and for which the InfoHEALTH® platform will be employed;
  • analysis, planning and development of ad hoc software applications, to satisfy the technical maintenance management needs, innovative and technologically advanced at the same time.
  • involvement with the MyInfoHEALTH club, which groups the representatives of the hospital clients, and of the companies operating within the integrated hospital services, aimed at the planning of innovative functionalities of the InfoHEALTH® platform. The club allows sharing the hospital technical management experiences with the Technical and the Clinical Engineering Departments of the main Italian Health and Hospital Authorities.

IB has provided a specific service level based on the exact content of the activities entrusted to the company by the clients of its HEALTH sector. Basis for such operation were the clients' specific needs, their organizational structure and the both strategic and operational targets at the start of the project.
