In Europe, particularly in Italy, the incentives linked to the green certificates and to the various Electricity Accounts are a strong stimulation to diffuse technologies in the photovoltaic, wind, hydro-electric, geothermal and biomasses sectors. To turn such an opportunity into tangible, economic benefits a complete solution matching the actual needs for technical-economical efficiency, and the monitoring of the energy production plants from renewable sources must be at the ready. The said production plants are often dislocated on a wide territory if not transnational even.

OBJECTIVES
The InfoGREEN® project fits into a global scenario to pursuit some macro objectives: the investments in the strategic sector of the environment preservation, the increase of the available power from renewable sources, and the implementation of a cap-and-trade programme, aimed at reducing the discharge of atmospheric pollutants (Kyoto Protocol, "New Energy for America").
InfoGREEN®, has the purpose to endow the various promoters for the construction, maintenance, and production of the renewable energy (plants owners, plants managers, maintenance firms, financing bodies, system integrators, and the stakeholders in general), with a software system allowing them to run, monitor and to remote control the operation & maintenance as well as the plants' performance management
