InfoSHIP MS Module has been developed to meet the Requirements in terms of Quality & Compliance. The module combines a range of functions that allows to manage issues coming under, for example, SMS/OHS 18001, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004/EMAS, ISPS, and that are aimed at the organization of Quality, Safety, Environmental and Compliance needs of Ship Operators. Its objective is to improve the management standards requested and/or desired.
MS Module provides full traceability of Occurrences such as Incident, Accident/Injury and Near-Misses as well as their Follow up (Analysis, Preventive and Corrective Actions). InfoSHIP® MS module is an integrated part of InfoSHIP®. This organic nature allows the full identification and traceability of all the activities carried out and of the corresponding events.
In this way, Maintenance, Purchasing and Quality Control are an integral part of the same system; the relations between them can be mapped, traced and managed, process by process whereby avoiding duplication and redundancy. The module includes the documentation relating to Quality & Compliance which is organized, updated and automatically distributed throughout the fleet, as well as it allows to evaluate processes whereby being a true decision support system.
MS MODULE SECTIONS - CERTIFICATES & DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT The aim is the management of on board Certificates and, simultaneously, to enable shore side operations to control such management. - SAFETY EQUIPMENT MODULE PMS SAFETY - Management covers inventories as well as control and execution of inspections required for single items. The coding of Safety Equipment / Outfitting items enables their cataloguing according to class, family (size) and single item or group of items. - REPORTING SYSTEM DATABASE This is specially designed and developed for Risk Management. This area of the MS Module collects information relating to events identifiable as Hazardous Situations (Incident, Accident, Near Misses) and to the successive Follow Up. At the same time potential nonconformities maybe traced and classified . The advantages offered by such a database are evident: the structured collection of data related to risk situations encountered on board ship, providing analysis as well as an instrument to manage and control interventive actions (these too can be categorized) and the systems in place to handle such events. |
