Case TrentinoTrasporti The predominantly public company was founded in November 2002 through the merging of the two public transport companies in the Province of Trento, Trento - Atesina and Malé Railway. Since January 1, 2009, Trentino Trasporti S.p.A. has been leasing its two lines of business respectively dealing with the management of public road transport in the Province of Trento and with the transportation on the railway Trento-Malé-Marilleva to Trentino Trasporti Esercizio S.p.A..

Trentino Trasporti S.p.A. is the manager of the railway infrastructure and other fixed infrastructures and handles the development and implementation of new transport infrastructures planned by the Autonomous Province of Trento.

The project

Having been an IB customer for almost 10 years, Trentino Trasporti uses InfoPMS® to manage the maintenance processes of Trento-Malé-Marileva rail transportation.
Through this software, the technical department of the company records and programmes the maintenance of its fleet, efficiently manages safety checks and vehicle cleaning, organises use and demand of spare parts, integrates the company's existing software with InfoPMS® and identifies project defects in order to issue work requests included in the guaranty given by train suppliers. With the introduction of business intelligence tools, Trentino Trasporti is also able to implement effective policies to contain costs and to evaluate the opportunity of outsourcing policies.

Departments Involved

Since March 2005, InfoPMS® has managed the maintenance of the Trento-Malè-Marilleva railway within Trentino Trasporti.
