Case Vm-MotoriVM Motori, founded in 1947 and 100% acquired by Fiat Group, is specializes in the design and production of advanced technological diesel engines for various applications. Thanks to its technical characteristics, the company has been chosen by major worldwide vehicle manufacturers such as Fiat, Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors. In 2011 VM expanded its production range to include elite SUVs and luxury touring cars, such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the new Lancia Thema.

In April 2011 before the implementation of InfoPMS®, VM Motori's maintenance processes were managed mainly using notebooks and unstructured spreadsheets, which made sharing technical information difficult, and the management did not have the necessary tools based on aggregated data to evaluate the technical performance of the plant.
InfoPMS® was given to the maintenance department because it was selected as the only tool capable of managing: scheduled maintenance, the history of maintenance jobs carried out on the machinery, inventories and warehouse movements, as well as being able to provide data collection for the analysis of recurring failures and performance indicators.
